SOCIAL ELIGIBILITY POLICY
At Kafkas shoes, we are committed to conducting our
business in an ethical and responsible manner that upholds
the rights and well-being of our employees, stakeholders,
and the communities in which we operate. We recognize the
importance of complying with internationally recognized
labor standards, including those set forth by the
International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United
Nations Global Compact. Our social compliance policy
includes the following:
-
No Forced Labor: We prohibit the use of forced labor,
including prison labor, indentured labor, and any form
of slavery or human trafficking, in the production of
our shoes. All of our employees are free to leave their
job at any time with reasonable notice.
-
Fair Treatment and Non-Discrimination: We are committed
to providing a workplace that is free from
discrimination and harassment. All employees are treated
fairly and equally, regardless of race, gender, age,
religion, national origin, or any other status protected
by law.
-
Safe and Healthy Working Conditions: We require all of
our manufacturing partners to provide a safe and healthy
working environment that meets or exceeds applicable
laws and regulations. We regularly assess and manage
potential hazards and risks, and provide appropriate
training and equipment to ensure the safety of workers
in our supply chain.
-
Freedom of Association: We respect workers' rights to
freely associate and engage in collective bargaining. We
recognize and respect workers' right to form and join
trade unions and other worker organizations.
-
Responsible Sourcing: We work to ensure that our
suppliers and manufacturing partners also comply with
our social compliance policy. We require all of our
suppliers to adhere to the same ethical and responsible
business practices that we uphold.
